Matt McNamara

Non-Executive Director

Mr McNamara joined the Board in January 2020. He has over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare and medical sciences sector.

In 2003, he founded BioBridge Australia, a biotechnology commercialisation advisory company and advised a number of public biotechnology / investment companies. He is presently a director and Chief Investment Officer of Horizon 3 Healthcare, a later stage healthcare Fund manager. He has held previous directorship in Avita Medical Ltd, Bioxyne Ltd, Adherium Ltd, SciCapital Pty Ltd, and Rex Bionics Pty Ltd.

Mr McNamara also served as CIO of BioScience Manager Pty Ltd, a biotech fund manager, was CEO of SciCapital Pty Ltd, a Life Sciences Venture Capital fund, SVP Business Development for eBioinformatics Inc, General Manager of Vistakon Pty Ltd (a Johnson & Johnson Medical franchise), and held numerous management positions in Australia with Merck & Co.

Mr McNamara has a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology, he also has an MBA, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
