Avecho has today been featured on Page 12 of the Herald Sun newspaper in a story titled, “Hand it to cannabis: Gel gives new hope for arthritis”, following the release of positive clinical data from our collaboration with the Lambert Institute trialling the effectiveness of cannabinoids for treating arthritis of the hand.

Journalist, Owen Leonard, interviewed study participant Alison Woodland, who spoke of the impact of arthritis on her daily life, and how her participation in the trial led to positive outcomes.

“I’m not a very good golfer, but the (arthritis) situation made things worse. I was literally throwing a golf club after I hit a ball. The people I play with, I usually give them a bit of a heads up. They’re usually friends, so it won’t matter too much if I hit them in the head. But now I can actually grip a golf club, which is a bonus.”

The findings of the study will be presented at a medicinal cannabis conference in Ireland in June 2022.
